Who we are

askHCP is a doctor-curated knowledge platform by Algebrics. Our website is askhcp.com.

What data we collect

  • Pilot signup: Email address when you sign up for the pilot program
  • Patient queries: Messages sent via WhatsApp, Telegram, or web chat (associated with a practice, not with your identity)
  • Doctor research: Research queries and curated answers created by doctors using the platform

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect patient health records (PHI). We do not send any patient data to cloud AI services. Patient queries are matched against locally-stored, doctor-approved knowledge only.

How AI is used

Doctor side: Doctors use AI-powered research (Perplexity) to find medical information. This research is done by the doctor — no patient data is included in AI research queries.

Patient side: Patient queries are matched against doctor-approved knowledge using local sentence-transformer models running on our own servers. No patient data leaves our infrastructure for AI processing.

Data isolation

Each practice's knowledge base is fully isolated. Patients of one practice cannot access another practice's curated knowledge. India-based data stays on India-based servers.

Third-party services

  • Perplexity API: Used by doctors for research only — never with patient data
  • WhatsApp / Telegram: Message delivery channels — askHCP does not store messages beyond what is needed to provide answers

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
